CARETS (California Real Estate Technology Services) merges listing data and history from prominent MLS databases throughout Southern
California into a single dataset that can be accessed from within MRMLS Matrix. CARETS is currently made up of seven participating MLS organizations,
MRMLS, CRISNet, CLAW, I-Tech, SoCal MLS, DAMLS and VCRDS.
CARETS provides the following:
- An Aggregated Database of Listings
- One Standard Data Definition
- One System to Add Listings (no need to reciprocate to other participating MLSs)
- One System to Search for Listings
- One Set of MLS Rules & Regulations
- One MLS System to Learn
- One Set of Data Violations

FAQ’s
Q1. Will I need to reciprocate my listings to other participating CARETS MLS organizations?
Answer: No, each participating MLS organization will have the ability to pull, receive, and display each other's full listing data on their own respective MLS system.
Q2. When I click the DOM or CDOM links, or run a search from the History Tab, will I get history of the changes to CARETS listings?
Answer: Yes.
Q3. Does CARETS have all the MLS data in Southern California?
Answer: At this time, CARETS is comprised of five participating MLS organizations including 27 Associations and Boards of Realtors. However,
CARETS is proactively working with other MLSs to increase the coverage area to give each of our participants and subscribers as much data as possible.
Q4. Will I need to be trained on how to use CARETS?
Answer: No, CARETS listings are seamlessly displayed in Matrix using the same displays and reports. You will use the same searching
and listing input techniques that you currently use. The only differences you will see are expanded listing data, expanded search options, and new rules and regulations.
